Celebration of Robert Weiss

Please join us as we celebrate Robert "Ricky" Weiss' 21 years as the Founding Artistic Director/CEO of Carolina Ballet. This exclusive performance will feature five Pas de Deux from the Ballet's repertoire, choreographed by Ricky and performed by our Principal Dancers.

During the past two years, Carolina Ballet has been planning Ricky's move away from day-to-day business operations towards more time working in the ballet studio and on fundraising projects. As we are transitioning the leadership of the organization to Co-Artistic Director Zalman Raffael, we felt it was the appropriate time to celebrate Ricky's accomplishments and contributions.

It is Ricky's wish that–if you are unable to attend, or in addition to attending the event–you would consider making a gift to the Ballet's Creative Capital Fund, giving us the artistic freedom necessary to take the company to new heights.

Following the performance, there will be a reception with assorted desserts and a champagne toast.
