Nightmare on South Street: A Masquerade Ball is Carolina Ballet’s beloved annual fall fundraising event. It’s an elegant, entertaining and mischievous party filled with dancing, drinking and good-spirited competition where we invite you to celebrate the dancers of Carolina Ballet, our local community and of course, Halloween. This year the evening begins at 7:30 pm in the lobby of the Fletcher Theater with canapés, cocktails and a few sweet treats. Guests will move into the theater at 8:30 pm for a half-hour long performance of two ballets; The Raven and Lady in the White Veil. After the performance, there will be more drinking, mingling and mischief-making before the costume contest kicks off at 9:00 pm. The contest will be presided over by a panel of celebrity judges from the Triangle who will award the most eye-catching costumes with prizes donated by our generous sponsors.

This year’s prizes include :

From 10:00 pm until midnight we will have Raleigh’s own DJ Joe spinning live on stage and everyone will be invited to join dancers from Carolina Ballet to dance the night away.
